#27 - David Boreanaz Tutorial.
Going from:
to or

Translatable, very very simple.

Begin with your base:

Duplicate your base and set the layer to SCREEN (whatever percentage):

Create a new layer filled with #9ad5f1 and set the layer to SOFTLIGHT 100%:

>

Create a new layer filled with #5d1521 and set the layer to SOFTLIGHT 100%:

>

Create a new layer filled with #4996b2 and set the layaer to OVERLAY 29%:

>

Create a new layer filled with #0b0a17 and set the layer to EXCLUSION 100%:

>

Go to Layers>New Adjustment Layer>COLOR BALANCE, enter in:
MIDTONES: 15, -12, -22
SHADOWS: -14, -11, 25
NO HIGHLIGHTS

Duplicate your base, drag it to the top, and set the layer to SOFTLIGHT:

And it's done!

But if you think it's too red or something because of the duplicated SOFTLIGHT base, then you can go to Layers>New Adjustment Layer>BRIGHTNESS/CONTRAST (this is INSTEAD of the last SOFTLIGHT step, in other words DELETE the SOFTLIGHT layer):
BRIGHTNESS: -9
CONTRAST: 20

If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I like comments and results... (and you can friend me too)

Other examples:

Yeah, I was too lazy to come up with a billion examples this time.
